AACS Youth Legislative Training Conference

July 7-11, 2025

Open to High School Juniors, Seniors & Graduates

  • Learn the Christian’s role and opportunity in politics and society

Nominations

Attendees to the Youth Legislative Training Conference (YLTC) must be nominated by their state association office to attend. If a student is interested in attending the YLTC, the high school principal will need to contact the state association office.

 

In addition to the nomination form, each applicant will need to send the following information:

1. A letter of recommendation from his government teacher or administrator.

2. A short paragraph (about 100 words) from the student explaining why he is interested in attending the YLTC and describing any political experience he has had in the past few years.

 

Nominations must be received in the State Office by **Monday, April 7, 2025.**

 

In early April, the state association offices will be notified of which students from their states have been selected to attend the YLTC. By the end of April, we will also contact these students by mail with information about the conference including a registration form to be filled out and returned to the AACS Washington Office. The registration form along with the registration fee must be received in the AACS Washington Office by Monday, May 26, 2025. At that time, no additions or substitutions may be made.

Cost

Participants are responsible for personal expenses, their own transportation to and from Washington, D.C., and the registration fee of $25. Generous donors fund scholarships that cover the costs for the conference including lodging, meals, and sightseeing tours.  The scholarships are awarded through the state association offices.

 

The Colorado Association of Christian Schools awards 2 transportation scholarships up to $400 per student.
